A Cold Winter Approaches....

What's the word my good people... ya boy ZILLA here, just thought i would take a brief second, and I don't always have that, to tell you all that I got a new project dropping December 31st entitled A.D.D.I.C.T. Musick (Always Day Dreaming In Critical Thought) The 8 song EP is pretty much my open diary about life, love, relationships, addiction and perseverance. I won't go into much detail but I've leaked 2 records from the project and they can be found on this page below! The first is ADDICT MUSICK featuring The Talented Ms. Ashley Diaz and The Newest one is SITTING IN THE DARK, picture a cool gloomy day and let ya mind feel the musick and words, then maybe you'll catch a glimpse into my mindset. I've had another turbulent year, i've almost lost my sanity at times, buried my emotions in alcohol and sorrow, only to rise up, get the ground beneath my feet and come out swinging. In the last couple days, I've had some things come up that actually put a smile on my face and left me with greater feeling of hope that I am finally piecing my life back together, it's been slow, but I would walk thru hell again to achieve the outcome i've eagerly waited for. With that being said, I truly appreciate all the support, I will have my new merch line/store up in a week and it's go time... As the weather is unpredictable round these parts, always keep in mind that life is the same, play your cards, make moves to assure your happy and love what you do, and if you don't, find that, and find it fast... Message From The Monster May 8 2012

So yo.. Its been a minute since I updated the page, hope you all click around on the links, show some love and let heads know about ya boy. First and foremost, im good... I have a pretty open book type status when it comes to my life, you see that on my FB, you hear that in my records, but I feel that i at the very least I owe you guys that, realness. Alot of heads actually hit me up worried about a nigga, "Zilla U Good Fam", Zilla everything ok?" but in all actuality, thats simply how the ball bounces in my court, so it's either play hard or go the fuck home. I got a ton of projects im working on right now, a ton of ghostwriting work I been doing for rappers, rockers and R&B artist alike. That's how I deal, I keep myself consumed in musick. I run my own studio, print tees, keep the side hustles in check, engineer, mix and master, producer, shiiit.. the list can go on an on... But at the end of the day, it's all I know.

Stay tuned for my next release entitled The Addiction, a mixtape containing a ton of material about love life relationships and real shit. March Madness? Yeah Maybe....

What the biz my people... Just thought I would hop up on the blog real quick and drop some knowledge for you all. Feb came and went like a muthafucka, fast right? Niggas was mad broke after Valentines Day, but as long as ya shawty was happy, you should be good right? On the real though, I been on my A-Game lately, shit's been moving quick again, Summer is right around the corner. Will be in NYC at the end of the month, Overseas in Late April, then May we already booking shows for the Summer run for "Interview With A Monster" LP. - I just wanted to say that I truly appreciate the support, seems like I picked up mad steam coming off January, Projects with Blacastan, AOTP, Features left and right, and just straight up grind mode has kept me eating. 

Speaking of Blacastan, my homie from CT, will be Live In Concert Here in Houston on Friday March 23rd... Flyers up all over the place, feedback has been great, and were looking forward to  hopping in this lab and smashing on records while he here for the weekend. Shouts to my brothers, JMT and Outerspace who I hear been tearing down Europe with SOLD OUT SHOWS left and right, Amazing what real support and fans feels like, they deserve that shit 10 fold. Also Shouts to my lil H Town Homie "KOPPO",  the youngsta is making some good moves thanks in part to his dedication and his long time manager Roland Llamas sticking with the game plan from day 1... Very exciting to see the lil nigga get his just due, took a trip out to Lafayette last week that may very well pan out to some good shit for him, I smell a deal fam, get ready......

On the flip, I been a little more stable than usual, Shawty got me in a good place right now, my people know I go through it, you hear it on records, you see it in posts and you straight up FEEL when a nigga's world is off balance, hopefully... that demon stays in his corner, because I really feel like world is mine right now and I aint giving shit back, but good musick to my supporters and whatever else you ask of me.... The Biz...

Whattup world, cruel as it may be at times i've slowly come to appreciate

the blessings that occur even when the waves come crashing, it's safe to

say I started the new year off on FIRE! Thanks in large part to my

extended fam, Vinnie Paz, Outerspace, AOTP and Blacastan. Them cats

keep me busy but also mad respect to my mans Mike Menendez, who is

leading the charge by making sure the music is getting out and heard.

I will be knocking off blogs here and there to give you heads an insight

to the madness that goes on in my mind. I'm gonna try and alleviate my

facebook page of all the overload of shit I put out and keep it updated

here and on my Zilla The Monster Fan Page, honestly, it couldn't keep up

with my need to record and drop shit at a retarded rate, but im learning

to pace myself to give the records time to breathe.

I'm sure you probably bug out at some of the messages and shit I post up,

truth be told, all of that is my therapy. What you hear in the musick is

honest reflections of the everyday emotion that I deal with on a personal

level, nothing is fabricated or created to stir up a buzz or likeability.

I wear my heart on my sleeve, always have, always will. I don't always choose

the safest route to deal with my demons, but when you catch that vibe from me,

know that its 100% genuine.

Last but not least, if you haven't already, be sure and pick up the album
